Another Cell-Animated Commercial Spot for the popular men’s health supplement Nugenix Gh-Boost.
ROLE: Direction/Art Direction, Project Lead, Design, Character Design Illustration, 2d/Cell Animation.
Boarding
I always start with a pencil. Much quicker than opening up photoshop and making a bunch of layers. Paper meet pencil now make something cool. Though I am starting to come around on that with the improvement of apps for Mobile Devices.
After this stage I have a good idea where everything is headed picture/script wise. Hopefully have all the visual gags worked out at this stage. Then come more refined Storyboard Frames.

As the pencil boards are refined into more detailed storyboards often new visual gags and scene details will emerge, replacing an earlier idea or detail.
